The Faculty of Medicine is one of the largest faculties of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution with about 1,300 students, and 200 staff members. It implements studies in 7 study fields under health sciences: rehabilitation, medical technology, nursing, oral care, cosmetology, pharmacy and nutrition.  13 study programmes are implemented in the faculty: Biomedical Diagnostics, Radiology, Dietetics, Oral Hygiene, Odontology Care, Dental Technology, Pharmatechnics, General Practice Nursing, Midwifery, Emergency Medical Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Cosmetology.
 

The Faculty is managed by the Dean. The central structural unit of the Faculty is the Department, which implements the study programmes in the field and carries out applied science activities. There are 6 departments (Medical Technologies and Dietetics, Oral Health, Cosmetology, Rehabilitation, Nursing and Pharmatechnics) in the Faculty with their own lecture rooms, offices and laboratories. The academic staff of the departments includes associate professors, lecturers and assistants. 

At the faculty, alongside formal studies, various international and social projects, contracted research, events, and educational activities promoting physical activity, health improvement, and sustainable development are actively pursued. Additionally, the faculty plays a vital role in facilitating lifelong learning by providing professional development opportunities for healthcare, social work, education, and other professionals.

The faculty maintains strong connections not only within Lithuania but also throughout Europe, collaborating with healthcare institutions, non-governmental organizations, and other entities in the fields of health and social welfare. Faculty members are deeply engaged in applied scientific research across diverse domains, including life quality enhancement, public health promotion, healthy aging initiatives, investigations into occupational environments, and efforts to foster social inclusion. They actively contribute to scholarly discourse through participation in academic gatherings like conferences and seminars and maintain affiliations with professional associations, societies, and working groups to stay updated and refine their expertise.
